FAI Reports
The First Article Inspection (FAI) is a comprehensive quality assurance process conducted to verify that a product meets all specified design and manufacturing requirements. The purpose of the FAI is to identify any potential issues early in the production cycle to prevent defects and delays in subsequent batches. It serves as a documented verification that the production process, equipment, and materials are capable of consistently producing parts that meet customer requirements.
Coordinated Measuring Machine
A Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) is a high-precision tool used in quality control and manufacturing to measure the physical geometrical characteristics of an object. The CMM uses a probe to detect precise locations on the surface of the part, which are then translated into 3D coordinates. CMM inspections are essential for ensuring that parts and components meet the required tolerances and specifications. Here at A Squared, we use a ZEISS CMM.
Certifications
Currently, we are AS9100 and ISO9001 certified, as well as ITAR registered at A Squared Machine and Tool. These certifications are crucial to our quality control. These certifications help ensure that all products meet the highest quality standards and comply with rigorous aerospace regulations. With these certifications, we demonstrate a commitment to quality and safety, enhancing trust and confidence among customers, partners, and regulatory bodies.
